this set, originally recorded in 1982/1983 is, in my view, one of the best. The music

is impeccably played by the English Concert with Trevor Pinnock producing spirited

performances which, in the Allegro movements, skip with infectious rhythm. Well recorded,

in ideal acoustics which demonstrate Simon Preston\'s dexterity on the organ to perfection.

Splendid baroque music.”
