Synopsis:
Based on the true story of Robert Kearns (Greg Kinnear), a university professor and inventor in his spare time, who fought a long, hard battle against the auto industry, "Flash of Genius" tells the story of a man who paid a price too high for his invention was recognized. This stubborn engineer refused to shut up and faced the Titans of corporations despite the fact that nobody thought would come out the winner. The Kearns were a typical family of Detroit in the sixties who was living his version of the American dream. Bob, a teacher at the local university, he married Phyllis (Lauren Graham) and had six children before they turn forty. His life was not easy, but felt happy. Bob invented a device that would be installed in all cars of the Western world, and Kearns believed they had discovered a vein of gold. But their hopes were left in hot air when the car giant, which had held the brainchild of Bob, did to one side.
