Animusic - A Computer Animation Video Album (2001)

Animusic draws you into its reality like no place you have ever been. You encounter new dimensions of sight and sound as you experience seven unique visual concerts. From the robotic laser-precision of Future Retro and rapid-fire ball bearings of Pipe Dream to the serene acoustic beauty of Aqua Harp, each animation is an intricate melding of music and visuals.
The first I ever saw of this was Pipe Dream and I must say we were quite amazed by it. So, crank up the sound and sit back for a very unsual experience.

Animusic 2, like its predecessor "Animusic", contains computer rendered animations that are set to music - in fact, the essence of the animations is that they are driven by the music, each musical note being connected with some action in the animation. While this fact may be of more interest to people concerned with the "how" rather than simply the experience provided by the final product, I think that understanding the process that goes into Animusic is part of the fun. If Rube Goldberg conducted an orchestra in cyberspace, it might look like some of the animations in Animusic 2. (credit: amazon.com user)

We went a little over the top with features on this DVD. For example, the Starship Groove animation was rendered in Fullscreen, Widescreen, and 3 other camera views for the multi-angle bonus, for a total of 5 full-length versions. This adds up to over 20 minutes of footage just for that 4 minute music animation!
It's even more extreme with Fiber Bundles which includes 4 full additional views for 6 versions and 4 more stereo mix soundtracks. We hope you enjoy all the extras!
